Post-Doc fellowship on Blockchain

The Department of Economics at the University of Rouen Normandy offers an 18-month post-doctoral contract, starting on December 1, 2021 (or later, after agreement with the candidate).

The post-doc fellow will integrate the MOCUB project (Modeling & Behavior, Blockchain), funded by the Normandy Region, which brings together scientists in economics, computer sciences and law (LERN, CERMUD, CUREJ, LITIS) of the University of Rouen and the University of Le Havre.

The research project deals with the economic analysis of the blockchain environment. A central objective concerns the modeling of mining markets. Another objective concerns the contractual relationships and the analysis of trust in that environment.

This axis will be approached from a multidisciplinary perspective. The research, which is anchored in game theory and microeconomic analysis, may rely on legal expertise (contracts and regulations) and / or CS expertise (multi-agent approaches).

The contractor will collaborate with the participants in the regional project, in particular Vincent Iehlé and Célestin Mayoukou.

The candidate must hold a PhD in Economics / Computer Sciences / Applied Mathematics. The living allowance after taxes is usually around 2200€/month, depending on experience, and the grant provides also substantial research funds.

Candidates are invited to send their CV with a cover letter. Applications are welcome until the position is filled.
